What is Hatha Yoga?

The world Hatha is a Sanskrit combination of the world ha (sun) and tha (moon), this refers to the balance of masculine aspects and feminine aspects within all of us. Hatha Yoga is a path toward creating balance and uniting opposites. It uses physical alignment (asanas), breathing control (pranayama) and meditation to achieve an equilibrium that allow us to connect our body, mind and inner self. The resulting harmony manifests itself as physical strength, physiological health and emotional well-being.
