What is Yoga?

The term yoga is derived from the Sanskrit “yuj”, is connected to the English word “yoke”, and means to unite, put together or to integrate. It aims to unite the mind, body and spirit. Yoga originated in India and is a very ancient philosophical system that prescribe a way of life and integrates physical, mental, and spiritual practice

Yoga is typically known for the popular physical practice called asanas, that improve flexibility, strength, coordination, balance and stamina but the asanas are just one aspect of the eight limbs of Yoga.
